We've all been there – whether it's under the cascading water of the shower or cruising down the road with the wind in our hair, a common thought echoes in our minds: to sing or not to sing?
Imagine the open road stretching out before you, and your favorite song comes on. The temptation is undeniable. Your hand reaches for the volume knob, and before you know it, you're the lead singer of your own in-car concert. The steering wheel becomes a makeshift microphone, and the dashboard transforms into your stage. I have some awesome memories of driving around with friends when we were in full concert mode! I also recall a dear friend who was completely tone-deaf, but she proudly and happily belted out tunes with all her heart!
In the car, you're the master of your musical destiny, and the world outside is your audience. The rearview mirror becomes your backstage pass to witness the sheer brilliance (or lack thereof) of your impromptu performances while transforming a mundane commute into an epic sing-along adventure. In the shower, it's typically just you and awesome acoustics that improve your vocals. That is, until someone catches you in the act, and for some of us, embarrassment ends the brilliant performance.
So, the next time you are tempted, whether you're hitting the high notes under the showerhead or harmonizing with traffic on the highway, remember life's too short for silent drives, showers, and unexplored vocal ranges. Sing like nobody's watching (or like everyone is, but who cares). The world is your stage in this melodic journey called life. Make it FUN!🚗🎶🚿🎤
